Benefits of Cross Fit

Cross Fit is a fitness program that has been gaining popularity over the past few years and shows no intention of slowing down anytime soon. The program offers distinct features that cannot be found in other fitness routines, and directly addresses some of the top challenges when starting a rigorous fitness schedule.

1) Bored at the Gym?

Going to the gym during the week and repeating the same routines can get monotonous. The same warm-ups, machines and cool-downs can begin to sound like a broken record player. Cross Fit combines weight training, aerobics and gymnastics. This allows you to become fit across multiple areas.

2) Wandering in for a few reps?

If this is what you’re used to, then you’re in for an awakening with Cross Fit. That being said though, you’ll get the most intense and rewarding workout out of it. Cross Fit focuses on packing in exercises such as squats, burp-ees, and more in about a quarter of an hour. Yes, in the grand scheme of things it’s a short period of time, but it’s a full period of non-stop movement.

3) No time to workout?

This is one of the classic excuses of those who don’t exercise. Do you have 20 -30 minutes to catch up on the latest episode of your favorite show? Then you can spare 15 minutes for a great workout.

4) Motivators

It’s easy for all of us to sometime slack off during our workouts. We may skip a few reps, leave out a dreaded routine of burp-ees, or cut the workout rather short. However, if you have a solid support team around you, they cannot only help motivate you but also hold you accountable for the completion of your exercise routines. A coach or trainer that has been through the same program can be your biggest cheerleader during this process. Cross Fit is about pushing yourself as hard as you can. Your only competitor is you, and a support staff can greatly aid in your quest to accomplish your personal fitness and health goals.
